Automating sending and receiving tweets


SMC Gateway can be set up to send and receive tweets as part of a sequence of actions.


Twitter offers a one-to-many system on a range of devices, which individuals can readily opt in and out of the system as required. 


Example application:

At music festivals stewards at the gates could send a tweet from their radio if their gate is busy. SMC Gateway can review the tweet before sending it out on to twitter for the festival goers to see offering instant guidance and information on the best routes into the site.

Interfacing Twitter with radio broadcast messages saves on duplication and means that everyone is working with the same information.

To ensure that inappropriate messages are not sent from a radio, the SMC Gateway uses an inbuilt sentiment mode the can be programmed to give each message a score before it forwards it to twitter. Tweets failing to meet a standard can be automatically referred to a superior so that they can act accordingly.
